WLWT Amplifies Our F-Word Message
WLWT Is Helping DOITFORJACK Say the F-word
WLWT5 featured DOITFORJACK’s bold new billboard campaign “SAY THE F-WORD” in a recent broadcast and on the station’s website. Reporter Megan Mitchell interviewed Tom and Stephanie Quehl about the serious message behind the eye-catching billboards being seen around the city.
The news story shares details about their son Jack’s tragic death from fentanyl poisoning. Jack’s death is why DOITFORJACK wants everyone to say the f-word: fentanyl. In the interview, Tom said, “People are taking things that they think is maybe a Xanax or an Adderall or any type of other street drug, and it’s laced with fentanyl.” Since a mere 2 milligrams of fentanyl is enough to kill, taking a fake prescription pill or street drug can lead to lethal consequences.
The WLWT coverage notes that that the “say the f-word” campaign is a call to action for everyone to start talking about the dangers of fentanyl. Stephanie said, “Don’t look away. Have that conversation literally. You see this on your news tonight. Take the time to call your grandson. Call your neighbor, call your teenage kid. Call somebody at the college. …You might save a life.” To watch the full interview, visit WLWT5 at https://www.wlwt.com/article/cincinnati-billboards-say-the-f-word-fentanyl-crisis/70783602
